According to the rules signatures must be a certain size. And can have up to 3 banners with other images being 'small sprites and such.' I think some people are having an issue with laggy loading or are just annoyed scrolling over these massive signatures.

I've already said this in the chat, but the main problem I see with signatures right now is all the annoying animated GIFs. Unannoying ones, like the one that Skylands has, are okay, but I'm starting to see too many that are repetitive and overly distracting. I'm beginning to have to hit the Esc key every time I load a thread, and I really don't want to have to do that.

The loading times aren't a problem for me, though.

It is very difficult to limit people's signatures, there are so many grey areas when it comes to size and amount, and it's difficult to decide on an exact limit to size or scale, some forums do it and alot of people find it very difficult to follow because they don't have any programs that can give you image dimensions.

My suggestion is if anyone has a too many images in their signature, the admins should remove it and put a polite note there explaining why they got rid of it.
