Rather, towards your lack of shameless advertising.
No, I was not expecting any criticism towards my so called "shameless" advertising. To be honest, I followed the rules and have done nothing wrong. If you have a problem with someone advertising without contributing to the site - and I say this with all due respect - I suggest that a post requirement be put up in the rules; that way members must post a certain number of times before advertising.
I know you're probably thinking that won't help either but my time is rather limited. As one of the admins, you must understand the amount of work that goes into a site. I can't afford to spend much time on other sites or my site will fall behind. So I ask you, Faltzer, what kind of contribution would you expect from me?
No, this is something that has more to do with ethic and not rule breaking. My rank here as an administrator does not mean I hold any particular authority as to how conduct is to be managed with around in the community. It is perfectly fine that you advertise your site, but under the condition that you have just joined for that sole purpose does not say much good about you as a first impression.
Regardless of whether or not you have had any qualms with other communities in which you've plugged your URL, it should go without saying that you should first give before you take. I can understand that you may not have enough time to form an active part in the communities you divulge in, although you must take into account that it is rather abrupt in nature to just register for a forum and make your only posts on it relevant to what you intend to promote.
I can see that you mean well and have so far shown that you are educated, enough not to go out on an outburst already, what with what these short issues you've had to go through, although this seems to be the only problem that has been had, and I hope that you consider this for the future, should you decide to advertise on other ends.
Leaving a bad first impression is not something I want but I thought doing the opposite would be just as worse. You see, I would rather have someone who gets to the point. I would not like it if an individual interacts and gains my trust, only to go and advertise afterwards. Especially someone who no longer comes around. So, I reached the conclusion that if I advertised first, I would at least be making my intentions clear rather than just pretending.
I am not the type to lose my cool. Especially when I am a visitor at another site that is permitting me to advertise without any conditions. I have not had any problems with other forums that I've been on but I understand what you are saying. I may not be able to post a lot, nor can I promise I'll be as active as regular members but I will try.
Most of the forums I've been on, grow as a community and then eventually die in terms of activity. If we want any of our sites to grow, all of us need to join forces. I am not talking about affiliation. That is my view on the matter but I know why no one is willing to act upon it. Just something to think about.
Fair enough. However, the last part I will have to disagree with, because I don't think plugging your site is necessarily joining forces, unless there was something behind that statement that you have not explained.
Yes, I meant all the the smaller forums should merge into one, big site. The only problem is that I have no idea how it would go about taking place. It would definitely be a long process though.

Will do.

That way we'll know this Dark person is contributing to the forums. In fact, we should put that in this board's description just to let everyone know ahead of time.
Yes, I suggested that earlier and wouldn't mind it either.
